Blackie River Charity Walk

The Blackie River Community Group organised a Charity walk to the Divis and Black Mountain in July 2013. The nominated Charity was Childrens' Heartbeat Trust, a local charity that supports children and families with heart diseases in Northern Ireland.

Pregnancy & Baby Fayre

Beechmount SureStart are hosting a Pregnancy & Baby Fayre this Friday, to give parents, and parents -to-be , the opportunity to ask questions, and gain advice and information on pregnancy, parenthood and life with a baby!

Taking place on the 28th February from 10am - 2pm, St. Pauls Parish Hall will be a baby hive as Beechmount SureStart have teamed up with local providers and exhibitors, including Mother Care, NICMA, Barnardo's and many others, to provide you with a day that is relaxing and informative.

Blackie Jobs Fair Pulls In The Crowds

Training & courses on offer for our young people

St. Mary's University College was a hive of activity yesterday (Wednesday) as it hosted a training fair amied at giving young people the opportunity to see what courses and training programmes are on offer locally.

Targeted at thoes aged 16 to 24, the one-stop jobs and information fair was organised by the Blackie Centre in collabration with the Department for Education and Learning (DEL) and Integrated Services for Children and Young People.
